Closer to Christmas and so much sicker

Posted on Sunday, December 17, 2006 in Josh Rants

I’m not going to appologize for posting less frequently.  I keep complaning about my cold because it keeps really freaking irritating me.

I started my day getting pictures taken with Santa.  Lindsay has been the photographer every Saturday at the Santa photo shoot in downtown White Bear Lake.  Here is a picture of me and Lindsay with Santa

After getting that picture done I headed tword the mall… which was a huge mistake.  After sitting in traffic forever I decided to go to a different Mall.  Rosedale was practically dead compaired to Maplewood.  While I was at Rosedale I stopped into Air Traffic Kites and Games to see some of my home boys and I learned from Nick that Matt Hedberg decided to sell his franchise back to Jim Henry, I guess the business just wasn’t working out.  It makes me a little scared for the last remaining franchise Air Traffic located in Maplewood.  Oh and Jeff Kasper has returned as the manager, I don’t think I’ll be stopping by there anymore, I’m still a little bitter.

After leaving the mall I called up Dave Poyzer and we met up at Ax Man Surplus.  We decided to tear up the new Walker Art Center in hopes of louring out Matt Schmidtway, it didn’t work but we did make a pretty good video.

Eventually that got old so we went and I got kicked out of Cheapo, so we decided to hang out at Plan B to drink some coffee and meet up with John-Bot.  As luck would have it we ran into my old friend Drew at Plan B, it was fun catching up with him.

The whole day I had the worst headach I have ever had, it was even worse than the worst headach I ever had yesterday.

In other news, I think I like Windows Live Writer more than I like Google Documents.

This Christmas I learned a valuable lesson

Posted on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 in Josh Rants

On Sunday, Lindsay and I went to the tree farm to cut ourselves a Christmas tree. Last year we used half of a fake tree because we don’t have a lot of room in our little apartment, but Lindsay insisted that we get a real tree this year. We found this beautiful tree that was skinny but full and just tall enough. The tree farm was awesome, it is owned by this family in Hugo that lives right on the farm and their driveway is the entrance to the farm and they give you free cider.

Lindsay spent all day on Sunday decorating the tree while I worked on my clip video for Indiana States. Then on Sunday night I was throwing some freehand with my new Big Ben (thanks Dave!) and i learned a valuble holiday lesson.

And let that be a lesson to you too, don’t throw freehand or offstring yo-yos by the Christmas tree! I posted this on the Extreme Spin forum yesterday and several people said “I did that too”, LOL!

The holidays haven’t been very exciting this year. There isn’t any snow on the ground, and it just doesn’t seem like the Christmas season. I’m glad we have a full sized Christmas tree up this year.
