What accent do you have?
| What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland
“You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.” You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. |

Santa Claus Conquers The Yo-Yo Wiki
I just finished watching the classic film Santa Clause Conquers the Martians and editing heavily on Yo-Yo Wiki. I announced the Yo-Yo Wiki Editing Contest on the podcast on Thursday morning and editing immediately picked up but today has been CRAAAAZY! Well over a hundred edits today! Check it out! The wiki is running really kinda slow, I’m not sure why. I’ve tried contacting Harper about it, but he just got back from Japan and I think he’s pretty busy. Word.

Da Gravedigga’
I had all of yesterday off, so I made the most of it. My first stop was Blick Art Supplies to pick up some screens (new shirt coming soon) only to find out that they are sold out, again. And they were sold out of photo emulsion, again. I need to find a good cheap online source for frames and other supplies but every online site I have found has been more expensive than Blick, do you have any suggestions?
Then I called up my buddy, Abe, to see if he was up for shooting a video. It was about 2pm, and I guess I woke him up. We agreed to meet at Rosedale mall. I got to Rosedale waaaaay before Abe ever would and I stopped to look at a kiosk with some badass belt buckles, and just as I was asking the guy how much the customizable name buckles cost my buddy Aaron strolls up out of nowhere and says “are you really so vain?”
I guess Aaron had gotten off early from his fancy pants Target job, but he missed his connecting bus so he was playing the waiting game. I agreed to drive Aaron to his car because I knew Abe was still going to be awhile.
About an hour later Abe finally made it to the mall and we decided to go to downtown Minneapolis to film some stuff in front of Orchestra Hall. And then we did that and we had some vagrant yelling at us. It was a good time. I’m hoping to cut the video and have it up on Saturday.

Out and about on my day off
I’m running errands today. Right now I am in a Dunn Brothers Coffee in the Roseville public library, and it’s pretty freaking cool. I have the oldest laptop in here, and there are probably a dozen laptops going and even one tablet PC.
I don’t think I’m entirely ready for what I started when I made that response to the Transformers movie trailer. I’ve got over a thousand views and 20+ comments and very little of it is positive. This is going to blow up, I can just feel it. I’ve been getting 5-6 comments per day on it for the past couple days, and it’s been increasing. I guess if I put myself out there, then I gotta face the consequences.
Here’s a link to the video on youtube so you can check out the comments for yourself.
I still think it’s a terrible trailer.

It’s a New Year! And new blogging and new projects!
My New Years was fun, played a little Soldier of Fortune 2 and some Battlefield 2. I guess the best part for me was when Aaron came over on Sunday and we played Gears of War on my 360. That game is crazy intense, but I don’t think I’m into playing it by my self, which leads me to believe that I might want to pay for x-box live, which is something that I have never wanted to do.
On Monday I started a new wiki project for my new coffee roaster, the iRoast2. There are lots of people out there using the iRoast2 with various different settings on all sorts of different beans and with my iRoast2 Wiki I hope to be able to catalog all that. I’m not sure how successful it will be, so far nobody seems interested. Oh well, ifn’ you want to check it out, click here.
Lindsay insisted that we should get an LCD monitor, so we did. And it was surprisingly difficult to get it to work with my desktop, I needed drivers and stuff. Weird.
And most importantly, listen to the Yo-Yo Wiki Podcast tonight on yoyoradio.net at 8pm eastern, 7pm central.
