Computer Cart Mac Ad
Apple Mac Ad:
“Macs don’t get those cryptic error messages”.
And it’s true, in fact my experience is that Mac’s just don’t give error messages, they just stop working.
These ads are slightly infuriating.

Just a little fun for Friday afternoon.
YoyoFactory 888 or The new The End
Due to a series of very fortunate circumstance I managed to play with the latest yo-yo from YoyoFactory the 888. See the entire flickr set here. The truth is I love every single thing that yoyofactory does. I love it. I want it to have my babies. The 201 was/is a great beginner yo-yo that is easily/heavily modified, the 401k was/is EPIC! The G5 made me lose my breath and go weak in the knees and soon we will
have the 888. All the stuff that they made in the middle was good too.
Anti-Yo has made some good yo-yos too but they have never had the out-of-the-box perfection that YoyoFactory has accomplished. On the other hand Anti-Yo created a fantastic shape when they made the Eetsit and if I were Anti-Yo I would be pissed about the 888 because they are the exact same shape. And if I were Doctor Popular I would be doubly pissed because it is nearly identical to The End (which was a
modified Eetsit).
With that said my time with the 888 was possibly the happiest time in my life. Now, hours later, I see how much my life is missing. I love The End but with the addition of the hubstacks and that super awesome coating it does it up right several times over.
The YoyoFactory G5 had the flaw of only using a stock sticker response but
they corrected that with the later iterations of the design (the Grind Mutant 2, and whatever else, I can’t keep track of everything) by using recessed flowable silicone which is the love of my life. Even Steve Brown admitted the complete flexibility that the recessed silicone provided in the 888 (see episode 20 of the Yo-Yo Wiki Podcast).
My one complaint is that Yoyofactory seems to be doing short and limited runs of yo-yos. I would love to see them take this yo-yo a little bit more seriously and make it a regular production run.

It was like Eli Roth was in my backyard…
This morning started off like any other April morning. I got up, checked my email, took a shower and I heard something. It wasn’t much of something but it was enough to make me want to investigate. I crept up to the window of my house and slowly peeked around the shade… The screams woke the neighbors, I know this because they called me. What I saw out that window was truly an unsightly scene, a fresh cover of snow this late in the year. Take that global bull shit!
I guess winter started really late, so it kind of makes sense that the summer will start late too. I’m just itching to get my bike.

Movie Trailer Review, Episode 11
Went to a matinee of Blades of Glory today. Saw two new trailers.
Delta Farce
Dj Qualls and Danny Trejo star with Larry the Cable Guy in what is sure to be the worst movie of the month. The unit in the reservists gets activated to go to Iraq, but due to some kind of hilarious mistake they end up in Mexico. Comedy movies are very fickle and I don’t think that director C. B. Harding has the timing or prowess to make something worth watching. But it’ll probably make some money, but not off of me.
Disturbia
The High School drama department puts on a rousing teenage adaptation of Hitchcocks’ Rear Window. Shia LaBeouf stars in this terrible trailer and it could make him a household name (if anyone can figure out how to say it) just a couple of months before he’ll be seen in the Transformers. The trailer for Disturbia is terrible. It’s about twice as long as it needs to be and it shows us about five times more than we need to see. It’s amazing how a trailer can show an entire movie in just a couple of minutes. I’m not going to see this terrible piece of crap and with any luck I won’t have to see a trailer again before it turns into a forgotten flop.
Sorry about the lack of blog posts lately, I’ve been playing a lot of Desktop Tower Defense. Try it out and you’ll understand.
