Dual booting Ubuntu and Xp
After many trials and tribulations I have successfully set up my computer to dual boot Ubuntu and Xp. It’s not as easy as they say that it is unless you do it right the first time.
Now to get my iPod to synch with Ubuntu and find a program that will record a skype call in Linux. The most recent episode of the Yo-Yo Wiki Podcast (Episode 25) I recorded by having my laptop host the conference and it ended up sounding alright so it’ll be a good work-around until I find a permanent solution.

Welcome to the dark side! It’s very easy if you have two separate hard disks but it sounds like you partitioned one disc.
Ubuntu is nice, but Kubuntu is nicer IMHO - I used it for months.
WellI have schooled myself emmensly on dual booting with Ubuntu and windows xp, I am still to paranoid to make the jump. Had Ubuntu for 3 months, loved it, problem was my German lanquage programs could not be used. So I have read everywhere about the dual booting but notthing is consice, so I withdraw. I do want to do this BIG-Time

With Feisty Fawn it ended up being really easy. I had to unplug my auxiliary hard drives and I installed XP first than I went through the Feisty installer and it set up grub and re-did the partition. Easy as a lion.
